Bid/Ask Volume Pressure indicator compares buyers vs. sellers and helps you to confirm trends from volume prospective. An up trend indicates that most of the trades occurs for buyers. A down trend indicates that most of the trades occurs for sellers.

The indicator can work in two modes:

  • Ticks. the difference between the number of trades at the Ask price and the number of trades at the Bid price, displayed as High-Low CandleStick bars.
  • Up/Down tick volume. The difference between the Uptick Volume and the Downtick Volume, displayed as High-Low CandleStick bars.

How to use

Essentially, the indicator instantly reflects a trend or reversal point. Use it to confirm your entries.

Requirements

  • This indicator requires NinjaTrader version 7
  • You must have Level I data available
  • It works on real-time market data only

Installation

  1. Save the zip-file (no need to unzip) to the location of your choice

  2. Go to menu Control Center -> File -> Utilities -> Import NinjaScript...

  3. Select the saved zip-file in the opened dialog

  4. If everything is OK you will see a confirmation (otherwise an error will be displayed)

  5. Restart NinjaTrader and you are good to go!
